Is this the right service for our family?

If you have a child between 5 and 16 years of age with a mental health diagnosis, suspected mental health issue or emotional or behavioural difficulties who needs help, then you have found the right service.

Additionally, you are likely to benefit from our service if one or more of the following issues relates to your family:

• There is conflict in your family which doesn’t seem to resolve.
• You and your partner are finding it difficult to agree on how to parent your child/children.
• One or more of your children displays behavioural difficulties.
• Your child/children don’t seem to listen, and they find it difficult to accept what you ask of them.
• You are uncertain of how best to move forward since your child has received a new mental health diagnosis.
• Your child has been given a diagnosis and you’re not sure it’s correct.
• You suspect your child is addicted to using screens.
• Your child is refusing to go to school.
• Your child is self-harming.
• You are concerned about the emotional well-being of your child/children, and you want help identifying how to better assist them.
• You need extra help from your partner in managing the demands of your family and home life, but you’re uncertain how to illicit the help you
  need.

The above issues are just a few that we can assist with, if you’re not sure if we are a suitable service for your family, please call our office so we can establish whether we are the right service for you, and if not, we are happy to provide you with details for more suitable services.

Please note that our assessments are not suitable for families where substance use /dependence or domestic violence are known issues. This is because there are services available to these clients which specialise in the assessment and treatment of these specific issues.

Additionally, our assessments, treatment and reports are not for the purpose of family custody issues or where family issues are likely to become litigious.  As noted above there are specific service providers available in Canberra and nationally who cater for client’s who require these services.
